Wendy's Half Marathon Triumph
Gem Appeal Trustee and Secretary, Wendy Mills took part in The Manchester Half Marathon in October to raise money for The Gem Appeal.
Wendy wore a strawberry costume in tribute to our popular Strawberry Sparkle Ladies lunch which is held every year in August. This attracted quite a lot of attention and shouts of encouragement throughout the race.
After smashing an intial target of £300, the justgiving page continued to receive donations and Wendy's dream total of £1000 has been achieved. Thank you to everybody for your GEMazing support.
Will she sign up for next year?
