CHRISTINE’S MARATHON TASK

ON Sunday 19 April 2026 Christine Egerton, a biomedical scientist at The Willink Unit, ran the Manchester Marathon for The GEM Appeal. She expressed to us how incredibly rewarding doing the run had been. The support on the lead up to the race and the support and encouragement along the way made her feel part of something bigger than just the run. Christine also told us that the thought of what she was doing and what it meant kept her motived and whilst it was tough at times she was proud to have been involved and what she had achieved.
